CHANGING THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH WINDSURFING: BOOSTING SELF-ESTEEM AND A GREATER SENSE OF HAVING CONFIDENCE IN EVERYTHING THEY DO.

Today we welcomed a group of students from Wey Valley School in Weymouth an initiative supported by The Will Mackaness Trust.

Accompanying the students was their teacher, Mr Wright, he said: “Today we have 16 students here from Wey Valley for confidence building, learning new skills and working on the water.

He added: “More than anything else it is all about building their confidence and really working with people that they haven’t worked with before outside of school.

“The other thing is to allow them to work outside their comfort zome, because some of these students haven’t been stretched and they need this to allow their confidence to grow. Most of the activities we do on the water are sponsored by the Will Mackaness Trust.”
