Year 12 Dance group from Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester came to facilitate a workshop at Wey Valley to our year 10 and 11 Performing Arts students.. The session was organised by Carly Reader from the Dance department at Thomas Hardye . The Sixth Form students are studying A-Level Dance and they came to give a ‘ taster’ for studying at A-Level. The session was highly energetic looking specially at jazz and contemporary dance . One student said ‘ I thought the workshop was imaginative and this has taught me different methods and techniques within this genre’. Another said ‘ this workshop has taught me about what it is like to study at A-Level’. Mr Chutter, Head of Performing Arts and Teaching and Learning Lead, said ‘ my thanks to Carly Reader and the students for such a wonderful morning of dance – it has really inspired our students to think about their post-16 options ‘.
