The year 7 students took part in an action-packed STEM day on 14th July.  We know there are skills shortages in STEM careers and we want to empower our students by opening doors through these opportunities. We had the pleasure of welcoming the Royal Navy and a team of their young Engineers, a Planetarium, Lego Construction as well as activities organised and delivered by our own on-site experts, Mr Parsons programming solar panels, Mr Reifer running a code breaking activity and Mr Hackland and Mr Sparks building bird boxes and investigating the role of bugs in our eco system. The bird boxes will be donated to the RSPCB. Our students showed their creativity, teamwork and excellent communication skills and they were amazing.
