Year 9 Options
Year 9 is an exciting and important milestone in every student’s journey. It’s the moment when you begin shaping your future through your GCSE options. While it might feel early to be making big decisions, the subjects you choose now will influence your learning experience, future opportunities, and even potential career pathways.
While students continue with core subjects such as English, Maths and Science, GCSE options give you the chance to explore your interests and strengths in greater depth. Whether you’re passionate about the arts, curious about technology, interested in languages, or considering a future in business or healthcare, your choices help you build a pathway that reflects who you are and who you want to become.

You will need to enter 6 choices in total, in order of preference. You will study 4 option subjects, including either History or Geography, so you will also need to select 2 reserve choices.
