At Wey Valley Academy, while students remain organised in year groups for academic purposes, they are also part of a house system that fosters a sense of belonging and community.
For competitions and other activities, students are grouped into one of four houses: Eagle, Falcon, Kestrel, and Osprey—house names that were democratically chosen by the students themselves. To strengthen the bonds across year groups, tutor groups are arranged vertically, allowing students from different years to interact and support one another. This system promotes teamwork, school spirit, and friendly competition, enriching the overall school experience.
