Artistic Director of Dorchester Arts delivers talk

Wey Valley Academy welcomed the Artistic Director of Dorchester Arts to deliver a talk regarding a career in the industry. The session was extremely well received by the group of Year 7 pupils who study Music, Drama and Dance at the school . Tattersall has worked extensively with famous stars such as Alison Moyet and Oasis. His advice to the pupils included 'seek experience in the arts where you can' and 'always be kind'. Tattersall invited the pupils to visit the theatre at the Corn Exchange in Dorchester. A Year 7 pupil said 'I have been inspired by this talk as I want to pursue a career in acting '. Another said 'I would like to be a professional singer'. Mark Chutter, Head of Performing Arts, said ' this was an empowering talk by Mark Tattersall and we look forward to working closely with Dorchester Arts in the future'.
