Chesil Youth Pride
Wey Valley Academy were thrilled to welcome Sue Dafter from Coastland College. Sue Dafter talked to the Diversity Council and Debating Society regarding the Chesil Youth Pride to be held in June 2026. Sue Dafter said 'we would really relish the opportunity for Wey Valley to lead the parade and to offer some stalls and events - this is your 'Pride' so please offer some ideas'. A Year 10 student exclaimed' I am excited to be involved and to support the event with other academies'. Mark Damon Chutter, Personal Development Lead, said 'our thanks to Sue Dafter for her talk and for inspiring our students to develop their understanding of leadership, diversity and inclusivity within the LGBTQ+ community'.
