Dorset Dance Festival
Joey Wormington, Director of West Dorset School Games, visited Wey Valley Academy to talk to our Year 10 Dance students regarding leading the Dorset Festival on 3rd July here in the Will Mackaness Hall. This event is for our Primary feeder schools. The Year 10 students will lead and choreograph the workshops and routines on the day culminating in a showcase with parents . A student said 'this is inspiring as it teaches me the qualities of being a leader alongside welcoming pupils to Wey Valley'. Mark Chutter, Head of Performing Arts said 'my thanks to Joey Wormington and to our aspirational Year 10 Dance students and we look forward to the festival in July - this is such a coup for Wey Valley and an inspiring experience for our partner schools '.
