We were very fortunate to be invited to an inspirational day working with The Royal Navy at their air base in Yeovilton. The day was about inspiring female students into a career in STEM in the Navy. The day was delivered by a range of females in different roles in The Navy and students got to meet Lilly, the only female Royal Marine who is training as a pilot, crews who work on and fly Merlin and Wildcat helicopters, the fire service, aircraft handlers, air traffic controllers and the metrology department. There was also a detailed question and answer session with a cross section of experience and roles in the Navy.
