Year 10 students were inspired to be given a workshop delivered by the Honorable Peregrine Charles Morant Kitchener-Fellowes. Kitchener-Fellowes is a producer and known for Solo: A Star Wars Story and Rogue One and Star Wars : Episode VIII-The Last Jedi.
The GCSE students at the academy are studying both iMedia and Drama and were asked by Kitchener-Fellowes to create their own script 'write about what you know , your experiences and use your imagination'. He went on to exclaim 'language is a powerful tool so use it and then refine during the writing process'.
Kitchener-Fellowes also delivered pertinent advice 'my father (Lord Julian Fellowes, Baron of West Stafford) has breakfast and then writes from 9am in the morning , then has luncheon and in the afternoon he will consider the work undertaken in the morning and refine '.
One Year 10 student said 'I have been inspired today to write and develop my language and ideas regarding writing a script'. Another said 'I want to write for the stage and screen '. Kitchener-Fellowes was impressed by the quality of the work created during the session'. Mark Damon Chutter, Head of Performing Arts, who arranged the event exclaimed' my thanks to Peregrine for such an aspirational workshop that was innovative and was linked directly to the industry - we look forward to developing our partnership even further in the future'.
