Year 10 pupils at Wey Valley Academy were involved in a consultation discussion with Helen Brahma of Dorset Council regarding the Pride in Place initiative . Both Broadwey and Littlemoor will receive 2 million per year over a decade to improve facilities for the community. Kevin Hodder has just been appointed to lead the project .

Helen Brahma asked the students for their ideas and opinions for the new strategy. She said ‘ these facilities will be for you , your families and future generations ‘. The students chosen for the discussion either live in Broadwey or Littlemoor. One student, Serafina said ‘ this is so empowering to ask us for our voices on this programme to improve the area ‘.
